Program Overview

Our Electrical Apprenticeship Program equips participants with hands-on experience and theoretical knowledge necessary to excel in the electrical trade. We combine classroom instruction and on-the-job training to prepare students for a successful career in the electrical industry.

You will attend four (4) years of instruction at a State accredited school. These classes
are held at the Advanced Technology College, which is part of Daytona State College.


GI benefits are possible for veterans.


You will be required to attend classroom instruction consisting of two (2) nights per
week, Monday and Wednesday nights , three (3) hours per night fromo 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. totaling one hundred ninety-eight (198) hours over 4 years.


Also, on-the-job training consisting of two thousand hours (2,000) hours per year
totaling eight thousand (8,000) hours over 4 years.


Wages paid during training, as of July 2025:
• 1st year - $15.50/hour
• 2nd year - $17.00/hour
• 3rd Year - $18.50/hour
• 4th year - $20.00/hour


After completion of school and licensing, wages should run from $42,000 to $60,000
yearly, depending on ability and productivity.


Experience is not necessary.


Educational background needed: 18 years of age, a High School Graduate or equivalent.
Math, Science and Algebra is strongly recommended.
